CAN=>El-Rufai, If you are broke, Ask Jonathan for a Job . ..

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has advised the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, to approach President Goodluck Jonathan if he needs a job or if he is broke instead of constantly criticising his administration.

CAN said what el-Rufai was doing was simply to blackmail the president in order to get his attention.

It also warned the former minister to stop his verbal attacks on its president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, whom it said, was not a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In statement signed by its National Director, Research, Planning and Strategy, Mr. Sunday Oibe, the association faulted the accusation that Oritsejafor was a member of the PDP and a propaganda machinery for the party, saying the pastor is a religious leader and he remains so.

The Christian body noted that from el-Rufai's constant attacks on Jonathan and its president, it was clear that he was bored and needed something to do.

It gave the former minister a seven-day ultimatum to inform Nigerians the person he claims gave Oritsejafor his private Jet, warning that if he failed to so, it would open up on him and his dirty deals.

Describing the former minister as a morally depraved politician who lacks credibility, CAN said it was the same el-Rufai that was abusing General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), when he was in the cabinet of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
