Taraba Acting Governor Pledges Loyalty To Governor Suntai

Taraba state acting governor, Garba Umar has refuted claims that there is a rift between him and the governor of the state; Danbaba Suntai, stressing that there is no division in the structure of Taraba state government.

The Acting governor assembled traditional rulers and local government council chairmen at the government house, Jalingo in an interactive session on the happenings since the return of Governor Danbaba Suntai from his treatment and since he attained the position of acting governor of the state.

The acting governor while declaring his loyalty to the recuperating governor argued that his ascension as acting governor was necessitated by the circumstances that led to the hospitalisation of the governor, and the administration still remains committed to the ideals and vision of Governor Danbaba Suntai without any plan to undermine the governor’s authority.

Though journalists were later excused from the meeting but the acting governor, Garba Umar in his address emphasized the importance of information dissemination and adequate flow of information to the people especially at the grassroots.

The acting governor enumerated the desire to continue with Governor Danbaba Suntai’s visions as he enjoined Nigerians to continue praying for speedy recovery of the governor, hence expressing his loyalty to the governor.

With the declaration of by the acting governor of his unalloyed loyalty and determination to carry on with the vision of governor Danbaba Suntai, pending when the governor recuperates and return to take over the running of activities in Taraba state; it is however hoped that all warring factions would sheath their swords and give peace a chance in the state.
