Wife of slain lecturer gives birth to baby boy

A few days after Samaila Alhaji Musa, a lecturer, was murdered by suspected Boko Haram members at the College of Agriculture Gujba, Yobe State, his wife was yesterday delivered of a baby boy.

Family sources told  that the wife went into premature labour after the shock of the news of the killing of her husband hit her. But she was safely delivered of the baby and has been discharged from the hospital.

She is now back at the family house at Sabon Pegi, Damaturu, the state capital.

The family had two little daughters before this baby boy.

A brother of the deceased said: “Allah has replaced Samaila with his newborn baby boy”.

“Though we still grieve over his death, the arrival of the boy has consoled us. Allah has replaced him with the boy. He had two girls but look at how Allah works, just yesterday, his wife was delivered of a baby boy.”

Samaila was found dead near a building close to the entrance gate of the school and was buried at the spot.

Sympathisers have been visiting his family house.
