President Goodluck Jonathan has again said that his administration will not compensate the victims of the Boko Haram attacks.

He was speaking in Warri, Delta State, yesterday at the 2013 Jubilee Word Festival and 26th Anniversary of the Word of Live Bible Church hosted by the church founder and president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor.

The Jubilee Word Festival themed "Recover All" also marked the 26th anniversary of the church and Oritsejafor's birthday.

The president, however, assured that the federal government would work out how the victims could be adequately assisted to cope with the challenges of life.

Jonathan, who said his administration was doing everything possible to tackle the current security challenges, expressed optimism that "this terrorism will end in Nigeria and God's everlasting superior powers will prevail and overcome."

He said that but for the prayers of the nation's religious leaders, Nigeria would have been a history. According to him, "but for the prayers of the church, this country would probably have gone into oblivion."

Calling on all Nigerians to continue to pray for the country, Jonathan emphasised that prayers had helped strengthen the national unity.

Earlier, Oritsejafor commended Jonathan for raising the committee on National Conference, saying the proposed conference would make the nation stronger and more united.

He said Jonathan's administration's transformation agenda had improved the power, agriculture and transportation sectors. http://allafrica.com/stories/201311110474.html
