Barcelona were forced to come from behind to claim a 1-1 at home to Atletico Madrid in the first leg of an absorbing Champions League quarter-final.

After both sides had lost a key player to injury during the opening 45 minutes, with Blaugrana defender Gerard Pique having been followed off by Rojiblancos striker Diego Costa, the visitors took the lead shortly after half-time with a stunning long-range strike from Diego.

However, Neymar finished with aplomb after being the recipient of a sublime pass from Andres Iniesta to leave this all-Spanish affair beautifully poised ahead of the second leg at the Vicente Calderon next week.
