Ekiti State Governor-elect, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, yesterday in Ibadan warned aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to stop disparaging the party forthwith or face party’s disciplinary action.

He issued the warning at a grand rally to celebrate PDP’s victory in the Ekiti governorship election as well as launch of a massive onslaught to recapture other South Western states.

Fayose, who had, following his electoral triumph, been mandated by the Presidency and the national leadership of the party to reconcile all the factional chapters of the party in the South West and mobilize them for victory in the 2015 elections, stressed the need for unstinting loyalty to the party, declaring that whoever among the party members was disenchanted and wished to leave the party was free to do so, but must not stay within and throw stones.

According to him, the party was bigger than any individual.

In a veiled reference to recent attacks on Jonathan by a former president and some aggrieved politicians within the party, especially concerning 2015 election, the governor-elect said: “No matter your status in the party, if you insult this party again, we shall sack or suspend you. Whether you are a former president, a former governor, senator or former this or that, if you want to leave this party, you are free to go. But don’t disparage this party again. Nobody is bigger than the party. We must give President Jonathan peace of mind.”

The Ekiti governor-elect enjoined party members in the host state, Oyo, to unite and form a formidable team to win the 2015 state governorship election.

He assured that all PDP governorship aspirants in the state would be given a level playing field, adding that there should not be imposition of candidate for the election in respect to internal democracy, which he said ensured his success in Ekiti.
