Jaycee Chan, Jackie Chan's Son gets 6 months jail term for Drugs

Jaycee Chan, the son of movie star, Jackie Chan, has been jailed for 6 months after pleading guilty to drugs charges. 32-year old Jaycee, who was detained in August on suspicion of possessing cannabis and was charged in December with sheltering others to use drugs, was handed the jail term after pleading guilty in Beijing’s Dongcheng District Court.

Speaking in court last week, Jaycee – who faced a maximum sentence of three years – said of his arrest: ‘I just gave [the police] information and I confessed because I didn’t know how to deal with the marijuana.’ The singer and actor was arrested at the same time as his friend, Kai Ko, who was released from police custody following a 14-day administrative detention for drug use....
