MARRYING A CO-WORKER – YAY OR NAY?

Ring the wedding bells, Lucious Lyon’s ex fiancée in Empire, Anika and his first son, Lucious Lyon also in Empire are engaged after dating for a short time. The two met on the set of the TV Show and have been head over heels in love since then. Now here’s the question: Is it professional behavior to sleep with someone you work with?


Personally, NO! It’s a big, fat NO! I mean everybody knows you don’t mix business and pleasure. Yes it’s all rosy now and lovely but what happens when things go south? Are you professional enough to keep it professional? And please don’t tell me about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie after Mr & Mrs Smith. That was a movie. They probably shot together on set for a year then didn’t have to work together again. This is a series which is on its second season and most likely will go on for its third, fourth and even tenth season if things go right. And with the crash rate of celebrity marriages, what if they divorce and he starts dating another co-star, would you honestly be able to work with them and their PDA’s? Most likely, you would end up quitting your job so you don’t have to deal with the situation but that is definitely not the answer because you would be doing yourself more harm than good.
