The accident involved three cars and a petrol tanker.

The Federal Road Safety Commission has confirmed the death of three people from the accident that occurred on the Lagos- Ibadan Expressway on Thursday evening.

The commission also said ten people were wounded in the crash that involved four vehicles, along the Otedola Bridge of the busy expressway.

It said the road was cleared by 2 a.m. on Friday while all vehicles involved in the crash have been confiscated.

The four vehicles involved in the crash, according to the commission, are “FKJ 167 AX, Skoda Saloon car; AH 723 SMK, Landrover Jeep; KSF 806 XC, Volvo Truck; and XB 166 NGL, a Petrol Tanker.”

The commission also said a tipper with registration no XA 654 BBR was burnt at the Shagamu interchange of the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway on Friday.

The commission said its officials joined fire service officials to put out the fire while traffic was also diverted to the other carriageway. There is no report of any casualty from the burnt vehicle.
