The University of Maine is offering International Dean’s Scholarships to students pursueing an undergraduate programme. International first-year and transfer undergraduate students are eligible for this award.
The University of Maine is a public research university situated in Orono, Maine, United States. The university was established in 1865 as a land grant college and is the flagship university of the University of Maine System.
If you are an applicant, you are required to submit language proficiency: TOEFL: minimum score of 79 (iBT) or 550 (iTP), institution code 3916 and IELTS: minimum score of 6.5.
Applicants from non-English speaking countries must show proof of their proficiency in English. There are two major tests for this purpose, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and tests from the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
Course Level: Pursuing Undergraduate programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to study the subjects offered by the university.
Scholarship Award: All first-year and transfer international undergraduate applicants to the University of Maine are considered for this international scholarship valued up to US$5,000 per academic year.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship:
International first-year and transfer undergraduate students are eligible to be considered for this award. Students receiving the Canadian resident tuition rate are not eligible for this award.
Nationality: International students can apply for these scholarships.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: International first-year and transfer undergraduate students are eligible to be considered for this award.
Test Requirements: Applicants do not need to submit SAT and ACT scores to be considered for this award.
English language Requirements: All applicants are required to submit language proficiency:
TOEFL: minimum score of 79 (iBT) or 550 (iTP), institution code 3916
IELTS: minimum score of 6.5
CEFR – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: completed level C1.
Waived language test if:
Native speaker of English (e.g., Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, U.K.)
SAT Verbal score is 550 or higher
ACT English score is 24 or higher
High school transcript clearly states that English is the language of instruction of all subjects
Student studying in the U.S. or Canada for two or more years and not in an ESL track
The student has successfully passed an English Composition course at a U.S. institution with a grade of C or higher, even if the student has not studied in the U.S. for two or more years.
How to Apply: Applicants are considered for this scholarship when their application for admission is reviewed. No additional application is required. Applicants do not need to submit SAT and ACT scores to be considered for this award.
Application Deadline: There is no application deadline. Applicants to the University of Maine do not need to submit a separate application to be considered for the award.
Students need to have a complete undergraduate application on file in order to be considered for all UMaine international scholarships:
For Spring 2017 admission – by November 1, 2016
For Fall 2017 admission – by February 1, 2017.

International Academic Scholarships at Northumbria University in UK, 2017-2018
Students are encourage to apply for the Northumbria University Scholarships to pursue full-time bachelor, master and research degree programmes for 2017-2018 year. International students are eligible to apply for these fellowships.
Northumbria offers a range of possible fee reductions for International Students. Northumbria University offers an International Academic Scholarships scheme to reward outstanding academic achievement.
Northumbria University, officially the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, is a university located in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England. A former polytechnic, it was established as one of the new universities in 1992.
Each student will be considered for a scholarship based on a range of factors including overall grades and individual subject grades, the level of the qualification, and the type of institution at which they studied.
Course Level: Scholarships are offered to all full-time Bachelors, Masters and Research degree programmes.
Study Subject: Scholarships are offered in diverse fields to help students in upgrading their education.
Scholarship Award: International students, joining full-time courses, who have achieved very good grades in their highest previous academic qualifications, may be eligible for a scholarship of £2,500, depending on the grades you achieved. The scholarships are offered as a reduction in the tuition fees, for the first year of study and apply to all full-time Bachelors, Masters and Research degree programmes.

Eligibility: Applicants will qualify for a scholarship if:
Applicants have an ‘overseas’ fee status
Applicants are a self-funding student
Applicants are studying on a full-time course
Applicants would not qualify for a scholarship if:
Applicants are sponsored for your tuition fees.  If they secure sponsorship for their tuition fees after an offer of scholarship has been made, then the scholarship will no longer apply
Applicants are progressing to study at Northumbria from a partner university with whom we have agreed reduced fees for progressing students
Applicants have been awarded another scholarship or discount, except for an alumni discount and/or early payment discount/team Northumbria scholarship
Nationality: International students are eligible to apply.

How to Apply: There is no separate application process, their application for a scholarship is determined once they have received their application form and academic documents from you.  Details of any scholarship awarded to they will be indicated to them in their offer letter.
Application Deadline: The application deadline is 2nd December 2016.
