Saving Money During Weddings...How?

Getting Married is something people get to do anyway at least for those who want to move to the Marital Life and continue the "Be fruitful and multiply" the Bible way but sometimes getting married looks like a daunting task because of the amount of money to be spent especially in some cultures in Nigeria and people just do runaway weddings, borrow to do their weddings (which is the wrongest idea if you ask me), and just find a workaround.

But really, Does planning have a wedding have to cost a fortune?

I have seen people borrow money to have a wedding (People still complained) and there is no shelter or good job for the Family to even take care of themselves after wedding?

Hilarious as it may, I saw a stanbic bank offer to lend you up to 5 Million for like 5 Years for your wedding....I say you first kid will meet the debt of your wedding on that (lol).

So how can one spend less and enjoy a good Wedding ceremony? Well these are my suggestions
1. Plan a Timely Wedding program, No long thing (Some one said, use a weekday so that people wont have time to come...works at times)
2. Invite those that really need to be around, Let the rest people see you in your marraige smiling and Happy and they will not fight you (Really, the lesser the better)
3. Print only cards for the elderly ones, Use a wedding website, and sms for reminders and directions as well as invitations, Its cheaper
4. Find a cost-saving venue, Its a only some hours program
5. Get fitted and cost effective wears not expensive and boring clothes that you'll wear ones and wont even make you beautiful (remember expensive doesnt always equals to "its Beautiful")

Im not married so i might be not totally right so you tell us your view and for those of you who have had a good cost saving "Marriage", Kindly share your wealth of knowledge.

Someone said jokingly "Want to save money and have a cheap wedding? I have the ONE ultimate way to save money - don't get married!!!!"
