Tina Turner At Age 73 Becomes Vogue’s Oldest Cover Model

It might have taken her 73 years but Tina Turner finally lands the cover of Vogue.  She bettered Meryl Streep for oldest cover model who did the cover last year at age 62.

If you were wondering how come we haven’t heard much from Tina it’s because she doesn’t live in the US anymore.  She’s been living in Europe for over 20 years.  She’s had residencies in London, Germany, Switzerland and France.  She has even gone as far as to renounce her US citizenship to become Swiss!  Apparently she loves it there, once telling local media,

    “very happy in Switzerland and I feel at home here. I cannot imagine a better place to live”

That might explain why she’s on the German Vogue.  Her cover makes its appearance on the April 2013 German issue of the magazine.  The cover was shot by Claudia Knoepfel & Stefan Indlekofer but disappointingly they didn’t show her famous legs!

At 73 Tina has slowed a bit.  She even has more music left in her.  She is working on a new album entitled “Beyond 2”.

Tina Turner has a net worth estimated at $200 million!
