June 12 is Public Holiday in South West

Lagos state government has declared, Tuesday, June 12, 2012 as a public holiday in commemoration of the 19th Anniversary of the annulled June 12, 1993 Presidential elections as well as in remembrance of late Moshood Kashimawo Abiola, MKO, the undeclared winner of presidential election.

Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti and Osun states had earlier declared today to be observed as public holiday with various activities lined up for the ceremony.

Good to know but only in South West .... It just go to say afterall, na only SouthWest dey remember Abiola and June 12...

I kuku suggest make we merge May 29 and June 12 make we kuku know say Democracy day na one day this one wey we dey get 2 days holiday for Democracy wey no dey work sef ..
