Two bus conductors were nabbed recently after executing an N8m deal in Lagos.

Augustine Emenim, 30, originally from Ibadan, Oyo State and John Ikhana, 35 from Ojota, Lagos were arrested for stealing goods made up of Nestle Nigeria products owned by M.D.S Logistics Company.

The prosecutor, Inspector Chinalu Uwadione said: “Messrs Emenim and Ikhana and others still at large conspired to commit the offence at 10am on April 25 at Oregun, Lagos. They diverted the products which they were supposed to take to Umuahia, Abia State, to an unknown destination. They are liable to punishment under Section 285 and 409, Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2011.”

They both face two counts of conspiracy and stealing but pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.

According to reports, the presiding magistrate, Ms. A.O. Akinde, granted them bail in the sum of N1m with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to July 23 for mention.
