Giggs named as Team GB skipper

Team GB manager Stuart Pearce has confirmed Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs will captain the side at London 2012.
Welsh wizard Giggs, a winner of 12 Premier League titles, five FA Cups and two UEFA Champions League competitions during his time at Old Trafford, will be competing at his first international tournament.
The 38-year-old is one of the three "over age" players permitted under the Olympic football tournament rules, along with Craig Bellamy and Micah Richards.
Pearce said: "I think Ryan is the standout captain amongst the group. He has got the respect of all the members of the group and I am quite looking forward to working with him and alongside him."
Giggs added: "Obviously I have experience and there are a lot of younger players in this squad. As captain, hopefully I can pass that on to them. It is a tremendous honour to be part of the Olympics."
Team GB will play their first match in 50 years when they tackle Brazil at the Riverside Stadium in a pre-tournament friendly on Friday 20 July.
They will then face Senegal six days later in their opening Group A match of the Olympics.
Meanwhile, Casey Stoner will captain the Great Britain women's football team at the London Olympics, manager Hope Powell has revealed.
