Choosing your goals right and setting your goals aright gives you an opportunity anywhere you are to create a landmark.
Are you seeking to make an original contribution to your world? You can if you try. Its time you decide what will bring you the happiness you desire by choosing and setting your goals.
Look around you and count your advantages, some people have opportunities rolling over them; some never get the opportunities they want. In taking advantage of the best around you. Take either creating opportunities for yourself or take opportunity when they come your way.
“The sky is the limit” A popular saying of an achiever. The sky here is simply a goal or goals towards which you can work towards which your drive is propelled. Every person has a goal somewhere somehow; careerly, educationally, politically e.t.c but with a set goal achieved, what else do you goal for? You can achieve better goals in life .How? Stay Tuned.
In achieving what you want, you just must choose your goals right. How do you determine your goal?
DETERMINING YOUR GOAL(S)
A goal is the object of ones effort, a target. In other words, your goal is what you are looking towards to achieve having done something in the direction.
Let’s get refreshed by knowing what you have been analyzing as your goal, take your time on the questions below.
1. What is your Ultimate goal?
2. How will this goal help you achieve more in life?
3. Where can you best fulfill this goal (industry, Government, entertainment, ministry)?
4. Which specific area will best help you fulfill your goal
5. When can you reasonably expect to fulfill this goal?
6. Why have you chosen this goal?
Consider these questions with care and answer without deceiving yourself. Question 1- your ultimate goal will be more difficult to answer because no matter how high a position you aspire is , the process of defining it accurately is frightening.
Writing out your answer to each question will put your goal in front of you with a finality you never thought possible. You will be better able to judge if your goal is right for you or not.
If question 1 still seems unclear to you- Try these sub – question of question 1
1. Just what do you want out of life? – Money, Position, Power, Leisure e.t.c
2. What position in your field or area of interest will allow you achieve any of these goals
3. Would you be happy in that position?
4. Can you achieve that position in or with your present situation?
Objective answer to these question should certainly position you to answer question One.
After you determine what your goals are, you need to examine them.
