On the Home Front...

Enyimba Int'l FC were crowned 2013 Federation Cup Champions
Enyimba twice came from behind to beat Warri Wolves and win the 2013 Federation Cup in a dramatic 5-4 penalty shoot-out victory after the score was drawn at 2-2 at the end of normal time inside the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

Arsenal climbed up the English Premierleague table with a 1-3 away win to Sunderland at the stadium of light, in a game that saw Arsenal's new man Mesut Ozil getting his debut for the club.

Manchester Utd got the best of Crystal Palace in a 2-0 home win, with goals from Van Persie and Wayne Rooney.

Spurs finally answered their critics scoring 2 goals from open play, in a 2-0 home win against Norwich. 2 goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson was enough to se off their opponents.

Jose Mourinho's Chelsea were handed their first defeat under the Happy One's Second spell at the club at Goodison park with Everton running away with a 1-0 victory. Steven Naismith was the goalscorer on the night.

Liverpool have a chance to continue their 100% start to the season when they take on Swansea later tonight, which will also see them get back to the top on the log with atleast a draw.

Italy
Inter and Juve shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, while Napoli were 2-0 winners against Atalanta.
Other results saw Torino holding Milan to a 2-2 draw at home, and Lazio Thumping Chievo 3-0 at home.


Germany
B.Dortmund are enjoying a beautiful start to the season with a 6-2 thrashing of Hamburg, while Bayern Munich were also winners, beating Hannover 96 2-0 at the Alianz arena.

Spain
Atletico Madrid thrashed Almeria 4-2, while Malaga Thumped Rayo Vallecano 5-0 both wining at home.
Barcelona left it late till the final minute of injury time to beat Sevilla 3-2, after giving away a 2-goal lead in the second half.
The 2 most expensive men in world, G.Bale and C.Ronaldo, were on the scoresheet in Madrid's 2-2 draw away to Villareal.

Lastly... C. Ronaldo, yesterday, ended the speculation over his future by agreeing to a new 5-year deal at Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo says he wants to stay at Real Madrid for the rest of his career after signing a new contract with the Spanish giants until 2018.
