CAF re-opens bids for 2025 AFCON hosting rights

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has re-opened the bidding process for the hosting rights of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.   The continent’s soccer governing body has already sent a notice to member associations to express interest in hosting the competition.   The member associations will also be involved in the process that will determine the host country or countries.   The deadline for the submission of declaration of interest form is November 11.   Guinea were originally scheduled to host the competition but the West African nation pulled out due to lack of funds.   Nigeria and neighbours, Benin Republic have expressed interest in hosting the competition.   Algeria and Morocco are the two other countries who are keen to host the competition
