Chelsea to sign former Liverpool star’ - Chelsea reportedly want to bring former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso back to the Premier League after the Spain international snubbed new contract talks at Real Madrid. Jose Mourinho’s former player is understood to be keen on being re-united with the Chelsea boss after the 32-year-old’s contract negotiations stalled once more.

Jose Mourinho will move decisively to end Chelsea's striker crisis by signing Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli just six months after the player moved to Italy. Rumours of a £48m move surfaced on Boxing Day, and the Daily Star insists they have legs, saying Chelsea will fund the deal by selling Fernando Torres and Demba Ba.
