The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has secured a landslide victory in the Bauchi State local government elections, winning all 20 chairmanship positions contested.According to the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC), APM candidates also clinched 319 out of 323 councillorship seats across the state.Announcing the results, BASIEC Chairperson Jummai Abubakar said:“Following the conclusion of voting, counting, collation and verification, I hereby declare that all 20 APM candidates emerged victorious as Chairmen of the respective Local Government Areas.”Breakdown of Chairmanship VictoriesBappah Aliyu won Alkaleri LGA with 107,482 votes.Umar Mohammed secured Bauchi LGA with 125,170 votes.Zakka Luka triumphed in Bogoro LGA with 25,282 votes.Other winners included Iliya Isah in Dambam (19,730 votes), Ya’u Sade in Darazo (67,276 votes), and Mohammed Jibo in Dass (35,264 votes).Additional victories went to Ali Babayo in Gamawa (54,423 votes), Mohammed Idris in Ganjuwa (24,150 votes), Mustapha Musa in Giade (33,864 votes), Dankawuwa Ya’u in Itas/Gadau (24,989 votes), and Inuwa Abdullahi in Jama’are (36,766 votes).Councillorship SeatsWhile APM dominated, four wards went to other parties:SDP won Dandango Ward (Bauchi LGA).NRM secured Darazo South Ward (Darazo LGA).ZLP won Wandi Ward (Dass LGA).YPP clinched Zirami Ward (Giade LGA).Commission’s StatementAbubakar emphasized that all successful candidates met the legal requirements and secured the highest number of valid votes.
