LiverPool Vs Chelsea - What should the Blues do?
« on: April 26, 2014, 02:46:09 AM »
Liverpool have scored 34 first-half goals at Anfield and conceded just four, so if Chelsea can kill their opponents' game (and the atmosphere) in that opening 45 minutes they will give themselves a better chance of causing an upset.

To keep the home side out will not be easy, though, especially without captain John Terry, who is injured. The secret to achieving it will lie in striking the right balance between pressing Liverpool upfield, and also shutting off the space between the lines.

Get it right and Liverpool's rhythm will falter. Get it wrong and they could be dismantled like so many before them.

An aggressive, scrappy, tight affair would suit the Blues, but are they good enough to withstand the sizzling attacking prowess that Rodgers has at his disposal? We are about to find out
