Sergio Ramos: I want to retire at Madrid
« on: May 26, 2014, 09:09:32 AM »
Sergio Ramos has said he never wants to leave Real Madrid and reports in Spain suggest the defender is in line for a new contract.

Ramos scored the vital equalising goal in Saturday’s Champions League final against Atletico Madrid, netting in the third minute of injury time to send the game to extra-time.

Madrid scored three more in the additional 30 minutes to win 4-1 and claim La Decima, 12 years after they last lifted the European Cup.

The trophy was paraded around Madrid last night, ending at Santiago Bernabeu, and AS reports Ramos as saying during the parade that he hopes to end his career with Los Blancos.

“I feel privileged to be part of the world’s best team,” the centre-back said.

“I say this with a big mouth: I hope to be here for many years and retire here. - EuroSport
