Still Loosing grounds - Naira opens @ 178.25 against US dollars

Nigeria's currency opened at a record low of 178.25 against the dollar on Monday, down 0.45 percent from its previous close, dealers said citing strong demand for the greenback.

The naira has been hitting new lows throughout this month despite central bank interventions to try and prop it up
