The only entertainer who has succeeded in getting to the next level of the 2015 elections so far is Desmond Elliot, who won his Primaries. Others haven't been that lucky. 9ice today Dec. 7th lost his APC Primaries for Ogbomosho North/Ogbomosho South/Orire Federal Constituency. He lost to Prince Akeem Oyewunmi.

Following earlier reports that singer cum politician Abolore Adigun Akande better known as 9ice, has lost the chance to represent the Ogbomoso North/South/Orire Constituency to Akeem Oyewunmi, the singer has come out to say he didn’t lose the ticket as believed in several quarters.

Rather, reps of the Ogbomoso-born singer say the exercise is inconclusive due to the crisis that erupted while delegates from 9ice’s local government, Ogbomoso North were yet to start voting, leading to the suspension of voting by party officials.

In a press statement by 9ice’s media representative, Tijani Adegbola and obtained by NET, 9ice said: ‘At this moment, (the) winner of the election has not emerged. Ogbomoso North delegates (where 9ice hails from) need to vote before the winner will be announced.’

9ice is contesting against Akeem Oyewunmi, Deji Akande and Isaac Agbomojo for the APC ticket to represent Ogbomoso North, South and Orire Federal Constituency at the National Assembly in Abuja.
