Height of Wickedness: 4 Boys Killed in PH for Alleged Stealing of Laptops/Phones

Three University of Port Harcourt students named Ugonna, Aladdin and Chidiaka were this morning badly beaten and burnt alive by indigenes of Aluu community for allegedly stealing phones and laptops in an off campus hostel.

Instead of calling the police and getting them arrested, these people put tyres over the heads of these students who were not armed and burnt them. Then they took pictures, filmed it and spread it around. This happened today in Port Harcout. We are gradually losing our humanity in this country. The boys were all in their early 20s. Source

UNIVERSITY of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has declared seven days of mourning for three of its students killed by irate mobs at Omokere-Aluu community, Friday, last week.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Joseph Ajienka, who spoke to newsmen, yesterday, at the main campus of the university, described the killing of the students as a horrendous crime.

Stressing that the university would not tolerate any act of jungle justice, he commiserated with the bereaved families. He said the university had to suspend its students’ union week, which was to have commenced yesterday, in honour of the deceased students and also declared seven days mourning period, which would end on Sunday

The gist is dat, one of the indigin was ownin lolyd some money which i didnt want to pay back. So  So he went there early in the morning with his friend so dat they can meet him at home, on getting there they decided to seize the guy's laptop and phones dat wen he pay back, he should come and get it. so the guy decided to call them thieves so that the community pple can get him back his properties. Those guys dnt deserve wot they got, even if it was true dat they stole phones nd laptops,they wouldnt hav taken the laws into their own hands.And they didnt even discover any of those item they were accused of stealing.wot a painful way 2 die
