Hello OUR,

I am a newly wedded bride who is 5 months pregnant. I got married to my boyfriend after 5 years of dating on and off. During the on times it was great but the situations that led to the off times were usually quite dramatic. There were several times I thought we would never come back together but we always did and now we’re married.

Here I am married to a man I have loved for 5 years and even though I have known him for that long, I am still very excited to be his wife but I worry he is not quite as excited.

My husband is self-employed and ever since we’ve been married, he comes home by 10 or 11pm EVERY NIGHT. Sometimes he claims to come home early when he shows up by 9pm. And when I ask what keeps him out so late, he says he was attending series of business meetings with friends and clients.

Like I said, I am 5 months pregnant and the entire situation just weighs me down because I would hate to complain to him about it and make it seem like I am not being supportive of my husband’s business ventures.

How can I get past this? Is there a way around it? Please tell me what I could do to make things better.
