Chief Solomon Lar urges FG to shun dialogue with Boko Haram

ELDER statesman and former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Chief Solomon Lar has urged the Federal Government not to engage Boko Haram in dialogue until those behind the Islamic Militant group are ready to disclose their identity.

He then advised President Goodluck Jonathan to shun the recent proposal by the faceless Boko Haram group for a dialogue in Saudi Arabia.

Chief Lar who spoke in an interview at the weekend, in Kaduna said: “I disagree completely that there should be dialogue with Boko Haram, unless they show their identity”.

Describing Boko Haram as enemies of Nigeria, Lar remaked that government must do everything possible to fish out the killers of Gen. Mohammed Shuwa and deal with them in accordance with the laws of the land.

Lar queried:  “Who are the Boko Haram and how do you negotiate with people you do not know? I do not know whether the people they are naming have anything to do with Boko Haram”. Source

“They are faceless people, let them come out and say we are the Boko Haram then we will definitely do the dialogue. Even General Muhammadu Buhari, Ali Moguno they mentioned, as their representatives have not agreed with them.
