According to PM News, the deceased was rushed to Igando General Hospital and then referred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital LUTH where she eventually died.

According to residents, trouble started when the 16 year old daughter of Biodun and the 13 year old son of the deceased started a fight in their compound. Instead of Biodun to discourage them from fighting, she reportedly told her daughter to go and dress up properly to fight Esther's son who is younger than her.

This attracted the attention of Esther who rebuked Biodun for encouraging the children to fight. This resulted in both women exchanging harsh words which led to a fight.

During the fight, Esther became unconscious and was rushed to hospitals where she eventually died.

Police officers from the Ikotun Police station were called in and Biodun was immediately arrested and detained. The matter has been transferred to the SCID at Panti for further investigation.

Meanwhile Esther's corpse has been deposited at the mortuary.
