Court dismisses FFK's suit challenging his detention by EFCC, says EFCC has right to detain him

Justice  Olukayode Adeniyi of a Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed the  fundamental human rights enforcement suit filed by Femi Fani-Kay‎ode, challenging his detention by EFCC.  Fani-Kayode who was arrested on May 9th,  asked the court to release him from EFCC custody as his continuous  detention was unconstitutional. The presiding judge, while delivering his judgement this afternoon, said FFK's  detention was not illegal since it was backed by an order of court.

Fani-Kayode alongside former Minister of Finance, Nenadi Usman were arraigned in court yesterday over and N4.9 billion fraud.
