Aero resumes flight operations

Aero Contractors Airlines on Friday resumed flight operations across the country, following the lifting of two weeks strike embarked upon by its workers.

The resumption of flights came just as the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority re- certified the airline for operations.

At the domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2, (MMA2), workers of the airline were at the counters attending to intending passengers who came to buy tickets.

As at the time of filing this report, the company was announcing the boarding of its Abuja and Port Harcourt flights to passengers who had already bought their tickets.

One of the staff of Pathfinder International, a sub company to Aero Contractors, confirmed that they were called by the management of the airline to resume work.

The staff , who declined to be named in print said, ”The management of Aero Contractors asked us to come to work this morning that they are beginning their flight operations today. As you can see, they just opened the counters to intending passengers and they are buying their tickets while some of them are checking in.”

The Public Relations Consultant to Aero Airlines, Mr. Simon Tumba, confirmed that the airline has resumed its operations.
