Kano State govt. donates N20m to Baga victims

The Kano State Government has donated N20 million to the victims of last month’s carnage at Baga in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno.

Gov. Musa Kwankwaso presented the amount when he paid a sympathy visit to Gov. Kashim Shettima in Maiduguri.

He said the donation was to assist victims of the carnage in Baga and similar crisis in other parts of the state.

The governor described the situation as unfortunate, and expressed the hope that the state would overcome the current security challenges soon.

``I am here basically to commiserate with the government and the people of the state over the recent carnage in Baga. What happened was very unfortunate.
