Member representing Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam in the House of Representatives and former Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Goar, said the merger of several political parties to form APC, is not a threat to PDP, saying they lack quality leaders to lead the country come 2015 and beyond.

He disclosed this in an interview with Dailypost in Jos.

According to him, “All this alignment is not a threat to PDP, if they are strong, why are they looking for candidates from the PDP. If you think you are strong and you have the stock of human resource that is required to lead the country, why are you looking for leadership in another party? So that in itself is a minus.

Assuring that, “There is nothing to worry about, it is natural that we have our internal wrangling, but we have an internal mechanism that will always solve our problems ourselves. There is no threat to PDP as far as PDP is concerned.

He maintained that, “All these things you must expect them in a democratic era. But at the end of the day, PDP will come out stronger than before.

Speaking on the suspension of Governors Rotimi Amaechi and Aliyu Wammako, the Lawmaker said, “Whatever decision that has been taken, we believe that, it is a decision taken in the best interest of the party”.

Goar further stated that, as members of PDP, they elected the executives, saying “So we will always have confidence in what they do.

On the Nigeria Governors Forum crisis, he said “From an observer’s point of view, you will see that, why is it that, 36 people cannot resolve their problem? But I believe too, that even husband and wife have problem, and at the end of the day they resolve it. I’m optimistic that at the end of the day, they will resolve this matter by
themselves.

He decried that, “We don’t want people to be commenting on a family issue. If I’m having a problem in my family, people from outside can say anything, but we know our problems and we can always solve it by our self”.

The Lawmaker urged Nigerians to leave the governors alone, noting that the comments were overheating the polity, assuring that, the Governors would certainly resolve the matter.
