Post by: flukky01 on September 15, 2014, 11:04:22 PM
President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria, the Minister of Education, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau and three other top government functionaries were scheduled to meet on Monday over the results of the Chibok Government Girls Secondary School in Borno State.

Over 200 female students of the school were abducted during the examination on April 14, 2014.

"The result of that examination has been released", Shekarau said.

The minister, who made the disclosure at a stakeholders' meeting with the House of Representatives Committee on Education at the National Assembly noted that the meeting was necessitated by the fact that "the result is haphazard."

His words: "In fact, by 1pm today the President has scheduled a meeting in which I am attending, specifically to address some of the issues of girls education in that troubled zone.

"In fact by this morning, I got a communication from West African Examinations Council. The result of the Chibok Secondary School is out. But we have to look at it via- a -viz the security situation and implication before the formal release. It’s right now in my possession.
