Abia frees 14 prisoners

Governor Theodore Orji of Abia state, Wednesday, granted state pardon to 14 prisoners in the state. A statement signed by the Attorney-General of the State and Commissioner for Justice, Chief Umeh Kalu, said the gesture which was part of activities commemorating this year’s Christmas celebration, was in line with the governor’s prerogative of mercy.
