An Enugu Neighbourhood Watch group has nabbed a young lady with two children suspected to have been abducted at Port-Harcourt, Rivers State capital.
The suspect was arrested at a popular hotel along College Road, Abakpa-Nike, in Enugu-East Local Government Area of Enugu state.
A source in the hotel said the young lady, whose name is yet to be identified as at the time of filing this report, was arrested by members of the Abakpa-Nike Neighbourhood Watch group while she was making suspicious calls outside the hotel.
An eyewitness told DailyPost that on interrogation, the suspect confessed that she abducted the two children from Port-Harcourt.
“After torturing her, she led the neighbourhood watch group to the hotel room where the children were kept”, said the source.
The eyewitness said the suspect has been handed over to the police with the two children aged between five and eight years.
When the state Police Public Relation Officer, (PPRO), DSP, Ebere Amaraizu was contacted on phone, he said he had not been briefed on the matter.
“However, if it is true, the command will investigate it to establish those behind the crime”, Amaraizu stated.
