Regina Daniels’ Brother Speaks Out at Court Amid Alleged Plot to Imprison Him
Rita Daniels, the mother of actress Regina Daniels, has
announced that her son Sammy Ojeagwu, who was reportedly arrested at the behest
of her son-in-law Ned Nwoko, has been located.
Regina and Nwoko have been in the public eye over the crisis
in their marriage. The dispute began in October when a viral video showed
Daniels in tears, accusing Nwoko of domestic violence.
The senator countered by alleging his wife was battling drug
and alcohol addiction.
The situation intensified on November 3 when Regina accused
Nwoko of orchestrating the arrest of her brothers.
Regina also alleged that Nwoko was using their detention to
coerce her into returning to a rehabilitation facility.
Mercy Johnson called for the release of Sammy and also
questioned the circumstances of his arrest.
The Nollywood star alleged that Sammy was flown from Lagos
to Abuja and was being taken directly to court from the airport, bypassing
standard procedures.
However, a recent video posted on actress Doris Ogala’s
Instagram page shows Rita Daniels expressing relief and gratitude.
In the clip, she thanked the Nigerian public for their
support while confirming that Sammy has been found.
“Thank you, everyone, thank you all the loved ones for your
support. Thank you, I cannot say more than this,” she said.

appears distressed and unkept as he claimed he is being denied phone access to
prevent his story from being heard publicly.
“Why would I not be allowed to call? Where does that happen?
I called my dad already. Since Monday, they have been depriving me of calling,”
he said while speaking from what appeared to be court premises.
“Their fear is that online people would get to hear about
it. That is their fear. Why am I in cuff?”
The post’s caption accused “Ned” of seeking to remand Sammy
in Keffi prison.
