Chelsea kick-off their Champions League knockout stage tonight with a tricky clash against La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid.

The Blues topped Group E ahead of Sevilla before Christmas and have impressed since Thomas Tuchel took charge.

But the German will now face his biggest test to date when he pits his Chelsea side against Atletico.

The Spaniard were runners-up to Bayern Munich in Group A but are top of their league.

They have only won one of their last four which could give Chelsea confidence but facing Diego Simeone’s men is also difficult.

These two last met in the group stage of the 2017/18 Champions League campaign. Chelsea won 2-1 in Spain before a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.

This last-16 first-leg tie will get under way at 8pm on Tuesday, February 23.
