Jack Grealish showed exactly why so many top Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in him as he helped Aston Villa beat Newcastle 2-0 on Saturday.

Goals from Ollie Watkins and Bertrand Traore sealed a comfortable win for the Villans in the only top flight match of the weekend.

Watkins gave Dean Smith’s side the lead as he beat Karl Darlow to the ball to nod home after Fabian Schar failed to deal with Matt Targett’s searching cross from the left on 13 minutes.

The contest was all-but done a few minutes before the half-time whistle as Traore latched onto a lovely cut-back by Grealish and fired the ball in-off the bar.

It was another exhibition performance by the Villa captain who conducted proceedings throughout.

Watkins thought he’d scored a second midway through the first half as he shot through Darlow after latching onto a neat through ball from Grealish, who teased the Magpies defence with his dribbling before playing the incisive pass.

This display from the 25-year-old will only lead to more questions about his future at his boyhood club, with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham being linked with him in the past.

Arsenal have also been linked with the attacking midfielder but former Villa star Gabby Agbonlahor suggested Grealish is out of the Gunners’ league.

Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “There are so many clubs out there who’d love to have him but have Arsenal even got the money?

“I think the way Arsenal are at the moment, where they are in the league in the last ten years, I don’t think they’re even one of the top six teams in the league.

“Even if they did have the money I don’t think he’d choose to go to Arsenal anyway which is a shame with Arsenal’s big history.”

Will Grealish move onto pastures new? If so, where?
