The fixtures for the 2021/22 Premier League season are out and, even though Euro 2020 has only just started, we’re all starting to predict what might happen in the top flight this term.
It all starts again on August 14, just five weeks after the European Championship final at Wembley.
Manchester City are the reigning champions having regained the throne from Liverpool, who kept their seat warm for one season.
Pep Guardiola’s men are 4/6 to retain their crown, while Champions League winners Chelsea are second-favourites at 9/2.
Liverpool were hit by season-defining injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez but snuck into the top-four late in the final weeks of last season.
But with the duo set to return and Ibrahima Konate signed, the Reds are third in the title race with odds of 5/1 with Betfair.
Elsewhere, Manchester United are considered fourth-favourites, with Tottenham, Leicester City and then Arsenal rounding off their top-seven.
Newly-promoted side Norwich City are this season’s long shot to win the title at 1,5000-1 – a far cry from the 5,000-1 Leicester were ahead of their history-making victorious 2015/16 campaign.
Watford, Crystal Palace, and Burnley are all priced at 1,000-1, but Brentford – in their first ever Premier League campaign – are 500-1 with their moneyball tactics catching the eye, along with striker Ivan Toney.

In terms of relegation, it’s the Hornets who are favourites at 4/5, while perhaps surprisingly, Brentford and last season’s champions Norwich City are evens to return to the Championship straight away.
Crystal Palace, who are yet to name Roy Hodgson’s successor, are also thought of as likely candidates for the drop and are priced at 9/4, just ahead of Burnley.
