Callum Wilson might’ve saved Steve Bruce’s job as Newcastle ended their eleven-match winless run with a 2-0 victory at Everton.
The Magpies striker struck twice in the second-half to ease the relentless pressure on Bruce.
A fabulous header was followed by a fine finish late on as Newcastle moved nine points clear of the relegation zone.
Everton, meanwhile, miss the opportunity to close the gap on the top four with a surprising defeat.
