Darren Ambrose believes that Tottenham owner Joe Lewis is only interested in making money and not improving the football club.

Since Antonio Conte left the club, the north London club have had Cristian Stellini in caretaker charge before he too left the club to be replaced by Ryan Mason.
Tottenham have conceded 15 goals in their last four games as they failed to record a victory, seeing their hopes of finishing in the top four fall away in dramatic fashion.
Fabio Paritici’s ban from world football has seen their off-field operation called into question too, with supporters less-than happy with the caliber of their recruitment in recent summers.
Tottenham are at a real crossroads at the moment and according to Spurs fan Ambrose, there’s little chance of success while the owners continue to line their own pockets.
Speaking on The Boot Room, Ambrose said: “Good recruitment is key. Ndombele was signed for £60million and has gone out on loan, Lamela was £30million and the same.
“You’ve got Davinson Sanchez who was £38million, the recruitment is all wrong and I’ve said this so many times and I’ll say this again, Joe Lewis and the ENIC Group don’t care about the football club.

“They don’t care about football and what’s happening on the pitch and being successful, they care about making money.
“They’re businessmen at the end of the day and because of that they’ve got the perfect chairman in Daniel Levy because he’s a good businessman who earns them money and that’s all that they want, but that doesn’t help the football club.
“As one of the callers said, it makes us Banter FC because we never win any trophies and that’s because we don’t recruit the right people.
“They’ve got this big deal with the NFL which earns Joe Lewis and the ENIC company money, they have the go-kart track earning them money, but they don’t really put it back.
“They said about the go-kart track that when it goes live and starts earning money it will be reinvested, but I’m almost certain that it won’t be.”
