Liverpool and Manchester United have a bitter hatred for one another – there is no getting away from that – with that rivalry only intensifying further at the end of last season.

Jurgen Klopp’s men ended their 30-year hoodoo to be crowned Premier League champions following a 5-3 win over Chelsea at Anfield in June 2020.

That trophy success was significant to say the least, as Liverpool can now lay the claim to being the most trophy-laden club in English football – above the Red Devils.

Below you can see the most successful teams, with at least one league title in English history to their name, ranked by the major honours they have claimed.

* Teams only included in ranking if they have won at least one league title. Major honours counted as season-long competitions (Charity/Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup not included), and no one-off competitions tallied towards total. European trophies include: European Cup/Champions League, Cup Winners’ Cup, UEFA Cup/Europa League and Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. Only top flight league titles are counted as major honours.
