What shall we say to this? A group of Kalabari people in the Diaspora have said that President Goodluck Jonathan's administration had recorded more successes in two years when compared to his predecessors since the country's independence.

Acting under the auspices of "Concerned Kalabari in the Diaspora for Jonathan 2015," the group said in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria in New York on Thursday, that a lot had been recorded under the president's transformation agenda.

"The education ministry's budget leaped from N235 billion last year to N427 billion this year, coming second to security.

"The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) must rid itself of the opposition and allow our children to return to their studies," the statement signed by Suku Harry, Pat Douglas, Wesley George and Diepiriye Douglas said.

They said that the administration had established nine new federal universities, with three more scheduled to begin academic activities next year and that 10 private universities were licensed under the same period.

The group added that 90 nomadic/Almajiri schools have been completed out of 125 under construction, stressing that 10 out of 16 girl-child schools have also been completed.http://allafrica.com/stories/201309080127.html
