Nigerian Police Storm Labour House In Adamawa Over 'Solidarity Protest’ With University Lecturers, ASUU

The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, Sikiru Akande, on Tuesday led a heavy detachment of policemen to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) House, venue for takeoff of today's nationwide protest in solidarity with the striking university lecturers.
SaharaReporters sighted fierce looking armed policemen with their long convoy of personnel carrier and gun trucks in front of the gate leading into the Labour House.

It was gathered that the Commissioner of Police was inside the building, engaging with the NLC state chairman, Emmanuel Fashe.
It was not yet clear whether the police came to stop the protest or to provide security for the protesters.
