The death toll has increased, with sporadic shots still heard from the affected area.

New reports have surfaced from The Standard Digital, stating that a section of the Westgate Mall's roof has collapsed as a result of on going clashes inside.

The Star reports Government pathologist, Dr Jahnsen Oduor has revealed 10 of the civilians slain in the Westgate Mall attacks are yet to be identified. BBC has since stated 51 people remain unaccounted for, after a statement from the Kenyan Red Cross.

Conflicting reports regarding the attackers have surfaced. While officials revealed the militants were made up of a group of armed men, new reports indicate a British woman dubbed the 'white widow' may also be behind the vicious attacks. The Guardian quotes Kenyan foreign minister, Amina Mohamed, who confirmed the latest revelation.

The BBC reports another explosion and gunshots were heard at Westgate Mall, Tuesday morning. The shots occurred after speculation that the ordeal was coming to an end.

-----------------------------------

Chief of Staff General, Julius Karangi revealed the identities of the attackers are known, and stated the group of attackers is composed of multi-nationals, via The Star.

He added “The ploy to burn mattresses was a tactic by the terrorists in a bid to try to escape”.
------------------------------------

The Star reports Lenku revealed in a joint press briefing, along with Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo and Chief of Staff General Julius Karangi, “The number of hostages in the building is minimal if at all there are any left in the building”.

Cabinet Secretary, Joseph Ole Lenku emphasised Kenyan forces have obtained control of all the floors in the shopping centre.

He added that the amount of wounded victims still receiving treatment has been reduced to 50, from the staggering 175.
