Police recover stolen child

Two months after Master Emmanuel Okenwa was stolen from May Blossom Nursery and Primary School, in Uwani, Enugu, the police have recovered him at Awada in Anambra State.

Emmanuel was taken away from the school in July this year by a stranger simply identified by the school authorities as “a young lady”


Police spokesman in Enugu State, Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the development to DailyPost said he was recovered by the operatives of the anti-kidnap unit of the Enugu State police command.

“He was recovered on 26/9/13 at Awada Anambra state following intensive investigations mounted by the operatives of the command that took them where a suspect identified as Ejiofor Eze was holding him hostage.

“Investigations have revealed that Ejiofor and the wife were the brain behind the stealing of the child”, Amaraizu stated.

He further disclosed that the child is in a stable state, adding that Ejiofor and his wife were now on the run.
