The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Thursday, sympathised with Nigerians over the hardship occasioned by the scarcity of new Naira notes nationwide. However, he defended the policy saying that it was necessary to curb illicit financial flows, ransom taking and electoral malpractice, amongst others.
