Man cooperates With Concubine To Kidnap his 9-year-old Son

Operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS), Lagos State Command have arrested a 48-year-old man for allegedly colluding with his concubine to kidnap his 9-year-old son.

The suspect, Samson Adeyinka Adebayo and his lover, Taiwo Alonge paraded before newsmen at the service’s Shangisha office, Magodo, Ikosi, Lagos by the DSS Director, Mr Victor Olaye, yesterday, were said to have been in need of money to enjoy themselves so decided to kidnap the boy and place a ransom of N350,000 on him.

Briefing newsmen, Olaye disclosed that his command received a report from the complainant later turned prime suspect, Samson Adebayo on October 7, 2013 that his son, Emmanuel Adebayo was kidnapped from his home, No. 2, Solomon Street, Ilu-Nla, Aradagun, in Badagry local government area of Lagos State.

He said his command swung into action and preliminary probe confirmed that the kidnap of the boy was masterminded by one Mrs Kehinde Alonge, who had demanded for a ransom of N350, 000 for the release of the boy. Olaye said the syndicates also demanded that the money be paid into a United Bank of Africa (UBA) account number, which was later traced to one Taiwo Faloye.

He said the plan of the couple was for their friends and church members where Adebayo worships to sympathise with him and give him some cash and the plan worked out as unsuspecting sympathisers had raised N230,000 for him before the bubble burst.
