BREAKING: IGP orders arrest of Seun Kuti for beating up a policeman (VIDEO)

 There was a mild drama between Grammy-nominated afrobeat
artist, Seun Kuti and a police officer recently.

 

The afrobeat crooner was captured in a viral video
assaulting a police operative on duty.

 

In the video making the rounds on the internet, Seun Kuti could
be seen lambasting the policeman after slapping him.

 

The police operative did not retaliate in the video.

 

Apparently, Kuti’s car was stopped by the police officer on
an expressway in Lagos, which seemed not to sit well with the singer.

 

Kuti was heard in the video saying; “You dey craze? You dey
mad?”

Reacting via his Instastory on Saturday, Kuti said the
officer attempted to kill him and his family members.

 

He said the policeman has apologized and he has forgiven
him.

 

He warned those saying he was chasing clout to mind their
business and not let the police officer lose his job.

 

Kuti wrote, “He tried to kill me and my family. I have the
proof but I no dey chase clout. He has apologised and I have agreed not to
press charges.

Kuti’s ArrestThe Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has
ordered the arrest of Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeat maestro. Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer, disclosed
this in a statement on Saturday night. Seun Kuti was captured in video assaulting a police officer
in uniform. The video had generated different reactions. It is unclear
what led to the action of the singer’s son. “The IGP has equally ordered a speedy and full investigation
into the remote and immediate cause(s) of the assault and prosecution of the
suspect accordingly.” “IGP Usman Alkali Baba assures Nigerians that acts of
contempt/disdain for symbols of authority will not be tolerated while offenders
of such hideous crimes will be surely brought to book,” Adejobi said in a
