Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire has accepted an apology from the Ghana MP, Isaac Adongo who mocked him in parliament last year.Recall that Adongo had aimed a bizarre swipe at Maguire during a speech discrediting his political rival’s economic policies during a parliamentary session last year.He compared the England international to Ghana’s vice-president Mahamudu Bawumia who he accused of scoring political ‘own goals.’His comments came while Maguire was enduring a difficult spell at Man United, having lost his place in the team under Erik ten Hag.But speaking on Tuesday, Adongo said sorry to Maguire for those comments, describing the centre-back as a ‘transformational footballer’.However, Maguire has now accepted his apology.Responding to a clip of Adongo’s latest comments, the former Leicester City star wrote on Twitter on Wednesday: “MP Issac Adongo apology accepted .
